I attach a draft copy (courtesy of Dr Izak Labuschagne) for consideration to be amended to church constitutions in terms of worst case scenarios, where secular judicial systems (e.g. RSA) may treat Bible truths as extreme fundamentalism. (Our faith in Jesus Christ is pretty extreme; having to die to self – Matt. 16: 24 & 25!)
In secularism (inter-faith or lack-of-faith notions) International Law is accepted as binding. Condemning homosexuality, for instance, can be considered a hate crime in terms of liberal statutory constitutions, where the Bible and/or God is not supreme anymore. Those who speak out against such deadly sins should be commended.
Hope this could be incorporated into your church’s constitution if it is not already so claused.
Yours in CHRIST
